Privacy Policy

We collect only what is necessary to operate ListBee:

• Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash) when you register as a teacher.
• School and district information — the school you associate with your account, which is displayed publicly on your supply lists.
• Supply list content — the lists and items you create and publish as a teacher.
• Usage data — anonymous, aggregate analytics data about how visitors interact with the site (see Cookies section below).

Visitors who browse supply lists without creating an account provide no personal information to ListBee.

Your information is used exclusively to:

• Create and manage your teacher account
• Associate your supply lists with your school so families can find them
• Send transactional emails, such as password reset links
• Understand how the site is used in the aggregate so we can improve it

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.

ListBee does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes — ever.

We may disclose information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers — trusted vendors (such as our hosting provider and email delivery service) that process data only on our behalf and under strict confidentiality terms.
• Legal requirements — if we are required by law or valid legal process to disclose information, we will do so only to the minimum extent necessary.

ListBee uses cookies in two limited ways:

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or any third-party cookies that track your activity outside of ListBee.

Supply lists on ListBee may contain affiliate links to retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, and Target. When you click one of these links and make a purchase, the retailer may place their own cookies on your device according to their privacy policies. Those transactions occur on the retailer's website and are subject to that retailer's privacy practices — not this policy.

ListBee earns a small commission from qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. That commission supports the schools whose lists you're shopping from.

We take reasonable technical and organizational precautions to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. Passwords are stored as cryptographic hashes and are never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at support@listbee.org.

ListBee is intended for use by teachers and parents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Accounts may only be created by adults. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

If you have a ListBee account, you may:

• Access or update your account information at any time from your account page.
• Delete your account by contacting us at support@listbee.org. We will remove your personal information promptly.
• Opt out of analytics by enabling the Do Not Track setting in your browser. We honor browser-level Do Not Track signals.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of ListBee after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. If we make material changes that affect how we handle your personal information, we will notify registered users by email.
